A new practice opened on the main road in March. A patient mentioned last week that they have Saturday hours now. You do not know their rating, how fast their reviews are coming in, or whether they are about to pass you on the map. Competitor Insights puts that on one page, from public data only, next to your own numbers.
What does the screen show?
The page is called Nearby Competitors. Four tiles: Your rank, Your local score, Your rating, Your review pace.
Your block. Every practice within the radius, up to 30, in one table: rank, practice, score out of 100, rating, reviews, reviews per week, distance and website. Your row is pinned. The same data draws as a radar across five axes: rating, review pace, offers, hours and services, with your shape over the rival you pick.
The climb, in numbers. A sample: you are 174 reviews behind the leader, who gains 4.0 a week. At your 3.1 a week you will not catch them. To match their count in six months you would need 174 ÷ 26.1 weeks + 4.0 = 10.7 reviews a week. Pick a horizon of 1, 3, 6 or 12 months and the sentence recalculates. Sample figures, not a benchmark.
Who could overtake you. A rival gaining 4.6 a week against your 3.1 passes you in about 3.7 months at that pace. Each threat carries a chip with the months.
Changes seen this week. “They added Saturday hours” is the kind of line that appears. A nightly watch with alerts that explain what changed and what to do is coming.
Settings lets you add a practice by name if the radius missed it, or hide one that is not really a competitor.
What does it read from my practice software?
Nothing. This module reads public Google Maps data for your practice and up to 30 nearby ones, with extra detail on you and the six with the most reviews, plus a traffic estimate. A review-count snapshot is saved at each refresh so that pace can be measured from real history. No patient data touches it.
Pace is honest about its own age. After two refreshes four or more days apart it uses real history. Before that it estimates from the dates of the newest reviews, and the tile says so.
Is it live on my system?
LIVE. It needs a linked Google listing. Nightly alerts and competitor review themes are coming.
What it does not do
It does not store rivals’ review text or reviewer names. It does not post, reply or request reviews. It does not read your practice software. It does not claim to know Google’s ranking formula; the score is Calibic’s own, and the formula is printed.
Next step
Book a demo and name the practice you worry about; the first screen will be your block ranked. The Local ranking page covers where you appear for “dentist near me”, Reviews covers the pace lever itself, and the competitor analysis guide is the manual version if you want to do it once by hand.
