Works with the practice software you already run.

Calibic connects to the database Open Dental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft already keeps. It reads. It never writes, so nothing in a chart can change.

How the connection works

A small Windows service runs on the server that hosts your practice database. It reads, and it reports out. Nothing comes in.

Your practice database

Open Dental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft, exactly as it is. Nobody changes how you work.

The Calibic agent

A small service on your server. It opens a read-only session and reads only the columns it needs.

Calibic

Your daily list, alerts and answers, from numbers that are minutes old.

  • Read-only connectionThe session is opened read-only, and Open Dental's database account holds SELECT grants only.
  • No write path in the codeThe connector has no way to send a write, even by mistake.
  • Outbound onlyThe agent calls out over HTTPS. Nothing listens from the internet.

Pick your software

Each system keeps different records, so each page says exactly what Calibic can and cannot see.

Open DentalLive

How it connects

MySQL or MariaDB, SELECT-only account

The audit log names the user, the time and the workstation, so Protect can say who.

Strongest on audit detail. The schema is public, so every table Calibic reads is one you can look up.

Open Dental guides

How the Open Dental connection works

What Calibic reads

  • Appointments and scheduleIncluding history, so a moved or cancelled visit is visible.
  • Procedures and treatment plansWhat was planned, done and still open.
  • Payments and adjustmentsThe ledger behind collections and write-offs.
  • Claims, benefits and agingWhat is waiting, and what resets soon.
  • RecallWho is overdue and what is booked.
  • Patient name and contactOnly the fields needed to build a call list.

What it never touches

  • Anything written, edited or deleted in your software
  • The text of clinical notes
  • Password columns
  • Social Security numbers and street address lines, where your system stores them
  • Insurance member ids beyond the last four digits (Open Dental)

Every table and column is listed on each system's page.

Set up in about four steps

  1. 01

A Business Associate Agreement is sent with every sign up.

  2. 02

    Read-only access

Open Dental: you create a SELECT-only database user from the statement we send. Dentrix and Eaglesoft: the installer finds the connection itself.

  3. 03

    Run the installer

Once, as an administrator, on the server that hosts the database. It checks the database opens before it finishes.

  4. 04

    First numbers

They appear within minutes. History fills in gradually so a busy server is not slowed.

Using something else? Calibic works with these three today. Cloud-only systems such as Dentrix Ascend have no database on your server to read, so they are not supported yet.

Questions people ask first

Does Calibic change anything in my practice software?

No. Calibic reads your Open Dental, Dentrix or Eaglesoft data and never writes to it. It does not take payments either.

Which practice software does it work with?

Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft today. The Coverage page lists exactly what is watched for each, and what is not.

Is Calibic HIPAA compliant?

HIPAA has no certification, so we do not claim one. Calibic is built for HIPAA, and we send a Business Associate Agreement with every sign up.

What does it cost?

$149 per location per month, or $119 per location per month billed annually. Enterprise and DSO pricing is by conversation.

Does Calibic text or call my patients?

Not yet. Texting and campaigns are a simulation today and nothing reaches a patient. AI outreach is on the roadmap, and we will say coming until it is live.

Does Calibic cover local search and competitors?

Yes. Local ranking, Competitor Insights and review monitoring are live, and reply drafting is in beta: you read, edit and post every reply. A street-by-street rank grid is on the roadmap and is not available yet.

What does Calibic not do?

It does not text or call patients yet, take payments, write to your practice software or read X-rays. It connects only to Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft today, and it does not hold a SOC 2 report. It is built for HIPAA, and a Business Associate Agreement is sent with every sign up.

What counts as recovered revenue?

Only money your records show as booked, done and paid. Everything else is called found, because finding an opportunity is not the same as collecting on it.

See it on your own numbers.
