You looked at Dental Intelligence, or you have it and the renewal quote arrived. Either way you want to know what else does the job. Here are the options practices actually weigh, including what each is good at and who should not bother. Calibic is on the list; it is our product, and the limits are stated the same way as everyone else’s.

What you are replacing

Dental Intelligence, on 13 October 2026, sells itself as “Dentistry’s All-in-One Practice Performance Platform”: analytics and reporting, payments and revenue cycle, scheduling, insurance verification and claims, patient engagement, and an AI receptionist. It lists Open Dental, Eaglesoft, Dentrix, Dentrix Ascend and Denticon, claims more than 10,000 practices and says it is SOC 2 Type 2 compliant. It does not publish prices.

So the first question is which part you are replacing. The analytics? The engagement? All of it? The options below are grouped that way.

If you want analytics only

Calibic. A read-only intelligence layer for Open Dental, Dentrix and Eaglesoft. Ranked daily list in dollars, Daily Huddle, Smart recall, Protect (a private audit trail of payment changes), Ask in plain English with sources, and a Recovered figure that counts only when the PMS shows the work booked, completed and paid. Local ranking and Competitor Insights too. All LIVE. Drafted review replies are BETA. $149 per location per month, or $119 billed annually, published. It does not text, call, run campaigns, provide phones, hold forms or take payments, and it holds no SOC 2 report. Pick it if you keep your communications vendor and want the numbers and the audit trail at a known price. Skip it if you need Ascend or Denticon.

Jarvis Analytics. A cloud dashboard with a Henry Schein One logo, built for groups and DSOs and open to private practices since 2022. Fifty-plus KPIs, Tx Miner, Morning Huddle, eleven practice systems including Denticon and Cloud 9, plus marketing and payroll data. No published price. Pick it if you run many locations and need regional roll-ups.

Your PMS’s own reports. Open Dental’s Treatment Finder, Recall List, Production and Income report and Audit Trail are included in its support fee ($199 per location per month for 12 months, then $149, per its fee page). Dentrix has the Unscheduled Treatment Plans report and Practice Advisor. Pick this if someone in the office will run the reports every week. See Calibic vs Open Dental’s own reports.

If you want the whole suite

Practice by Numbers. Analytics, reminders, two-way texting, PbN Voice phones, payments, forms and an AI receptionist, across 25 practice systems. Pricing page says “Start as low as $249/mo” with per-plan prices not shown. Pick it if you want one vendor and your PMS is not on Calibic’s list. See Calibic vs Practice by Numbers.

Adit. All-in-one: AI front desk, VoIP, texting, forms, online scheduling, analytics, payments, claims and denial management. No published subscription price; the site runs gift card promotions and mentions an annual agreement. Pick it if the goal is one bill for the whole front desk.

Weave. A communications platform first: phones, texting, reminders, forms, payments, reviews, with Practice Analytics marked “(dental only)” and plans “starting from $199 per month.” Pick it if the phone system is the main need and analytics is a bonus.

A quick table

Option Main job Price published Practice systems
Calibic Analytics, audit trail, recovery, read-only $149 monthly, $119 annual Open Dental, Dentrix, Eaglesoft
Jarvis Analytics Group analytics No 11 listed
PMS reports Raw reports Included in support Your own
Practice by Numbers All-in-one “As low as $249/mo” 25 listed
Adit All-in-one with AI front desk No Several, per its demo form
Weave Phones and communications “Starting from $199 per month” Not listed on its homepage

Three things to check before you switch

  1. Write access. Ask whether the vendor writes to your database or only reads it. Calibic is read-only; suites that schedule and post payments must write. Open Dental publishes a list of third-party vendors and their authorisation status; look your candidate up.
  2. How “revenue found” is counted. Ask whether a figure means scheduled, completed or paid. Calibic counts recovered only when the PMS shows it paid.
  3. The exit. Ask about term length and what happens to your data at the end.

As of 13 October 2026. Calibic is not affiliated with any vendor named here.
